vulkro-sf metadiff

Lists which metadata components were added, removed or changed between two snapshots of the same org, grouped by change kind and metadata type.

vulkro-sf metadiff ./release-1.4 ./release-1.5
vulkro-sf metadiff ./release-1.4 ./release-1.5 --format json > metadiff.json

Each snapshot is a retrieved metadata folder or an SFDX source tree, for example a committed baseline and the current working tree. The output is a plain change log for a release note, an audit trail or a pull request description: no risk score, no weighting. To score the deployment risk of a difference, use vulkro-sf diff.

  • Added: in the second snapshot, not the first.
  • Removed: in the first snapshot, not the second.
  • Changed: in both, with different content.

It reads local folders only and opens no org connection.

Argument or flagWhat it does
<snapshotA>Baseline (the earlier state).
<snapshotB>Current (the later state).
--format <table|json>Output format. Default table.
